Lone Star Friday Community Rules

Lone Star Friday is where Texas high school football fans keep up with Friday nights together. Keep it a place you'd want your kids, your coach and your grandma to read.

Post real scores

• Post what you actually saw, as soon as you can.
• Made a mistake? Fix it right away. Everybody fat-fingers a score now and then.
• Never post fake scores, and never use more than one account.

Respect the players

• Student athletes are kids. Criticize plays, not players.
• Never post a player's personal information: address, phone number, school schedule, social media, or where they are.
• No photos or videos of anyone without their permission.

Talk trash, not hate

Friendly rivalry is what Friday night is about. These are not:

• threats, harassment or bullying of anyone: players, coaches, officials, fans or their families;
• slurs or hate toward anyone's race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or national origin;
• anything sexual, or anything inappropriate involving minors;
• encouraging fights, violence or anything illegal.

Keep it clean and real

• No spam, ads, scams or pretending to be someone else.
• Pick a screen name that's fine for everyone to see. Don't use your full name.
• Keep threads in the right room.

If you see something

• Tap Report on any message or post that breaks these rules. Our moderators review reports, usually within 24 hours.
• Tap Mute to stop seeing someone.
• Don't fight it out in the chat. Report it and move on.

What happens if you break them

We may remove posts, correct scores, turn off chat for a game, or suspend or ban accounts and devices, with or without a warning. Threats of violence and anything that puts a minor at risk go to law enforcement.
